Black and White
at Huron Ave, Friday
Swing City regulars, featuring guest artist Dave Howard from "Roomful of Blues". Specializing in catering to the swing dancing crowd, "Black & White" have performed at the prestigious BOSTON BLUES FESTIVAL, and have had the honor of sharing billing with some of music history's top performers. Nominated in the 2000, 2002, 2003 & 2005 PROVIDENCE PHOENIX BEST MUSIC POLL - Best Blues/R&B Act Category.
The Love Dogs
at Huron Ave, Saturday
Voted 2006 "Outstanding New England Band", plus Ed Scheer voted "Most Charismatic Entertainer", this band has been a top drawing band at Swing City for over a decade.
Bombay Jim & Swinging Sapphires
at Huron Ave, Saturday
Hot on the Swing City "A" list from years past, they are back again after a full house earlier this year. Since the release of their 2001 CD "Keep Honkin" they are hailed as one of the country’s hottest swing bands. Featured on the HBO Series, "Family Bonds", and heard on jazz and swing radio stations throughout the nation. A sure bet for any dancer.
Eight to the Bar
at Huron Ave, Friday
"Eight to the Bar" is perennially one of the biggest drawing bands at Swing City, renowned by dancers all across New England. Expect the best for the 2012 "Season Opener"!
Rico Barr Jump n Jive Review
at Huron Ave, Saturday
Rico Barr and the Jump n Jive Review is New England's Premier Dance Band. The Band was Nominated as Swing Band of The Year by the National Swing Awards, but their repertoire includes the history of Dance music from the jazz and rock decades. They can be seen on the Concert Stage with their original compositions and arrangements and are in demand throughout New England and beyond.
Tom Nutile Big Band
at Huron Ave, Friday
Think Basie and Sinatra, Benny Goodman and Peggy Lee. The Tom Nutile Big Band had made a big name for itself in the New England Swing Dancing circuit. With their roots are in the swing era of the 1930s, 40s and 50s, this 15 pc band's mission is to entertain!
