After years of construction, and then some negotiations, the City of Cambridge has made available the new "Huron Ave" dance hall at the West Cambridge Youth Center to Swing City! This location, at the site of the former VFW, was the home of Swing City and other dances for many years. Starting in June, 2010, Swing City will be in this new building at the same address generally on the First Saturday of the month and the third Friday. We will be at the City Club on the other Fridays as usual.

We hope you'll come join us for a classy, nostalgic evening evening.

Age Restrictions: All ages welcome.

Tickets:

$15 at the door. $5 discount with valid student ID.

Schedule:

7:30: Doors open, complimentary snacks.

7:45: Beginner and Intermediate lessons. Lessons are concurrent, so you may switch between them,

9:00: Live music starts! The band plays most of the evening until aprox. 12:00, with a DJ in the breaks.

12:00: Closing. Please respect neighborhood noise levels when leaving.

Parking:

Free street parking on Huron Ave and adjacent streets. Please respect the neighborhood and limit noise late at night so that we may return regularly.

Alcohol Policy:

City of Cambridge law forbids any alcohol in the building. Please do not bring any with you. A selection of juice/soda/water will be available.

This venue is located at the site of Swing City's home for over ten years, until it was demolished about three years ago to make room for the beautiful new West Cambridge Youth Center. The Youth Center is a fantastically architected building housing a variety of facilities, and in particular a large sprung wood floor dance hall with stage, designed for the dance groups that formerly occupied the space.
