Venue Update: Everyone's getting really
excited about our move next week, and a lot has been happening.
Last week I got a flood of responses about moving to Watertown,
thanks all! Unfortunately the venue reconsidered and decided
weddings were more profitable. So... unfortunately that's
out for now. We'll keep looking for options there down
the road.
However, the Sullivan Square location is looking better
and better, and I'm getting a good feeling about it! It'll
be a place we can comfortably call "home" for
a while until other options like Huron Ave or the Greek
Church get sorted out.
The new place is the Somerville City Club, at 20 Innerbelt
Road, Somerville (map).
It's adjacent to the Holiday Inn near Sullivan Square,
directly off I-93 and 3 blocks from the Orange Line. There
are also a ton of buses that come through, ample parking,
an "Annex", and of course... a FULL BAR. For
those that drove to the Greek Church from I-93, you probably
went right past it on Washington St. In fact it's only
a little over a mile away and about three miles down the
highway from Springstep.
Full directions and details will be sent out next week,
and of course we've got none other than the Fried Bananas
there for our re-re-reopening! We're also probably going
to have our Bal/Fast Lindy Annex Night as well for the
opening. Stay tuned!
