Dear Swing City Patrons,
Dance and Potluck with "Love Dogs" this Saturday
Happy Holidays to all! As has become a tradition at
Swing City, we are hosting our annual Holiday dance
and potluck this Satrurday, with the ever popular Love
Dogs, plus a reading of "The Grinch who Stole Christmas"
with Rob Glover. Beforehand, Katie and Paolo will be
teaching their Lindy workshop, "Just Keep Spinning"
For the potluck, nothing is required but deserts and
side dishes are welcome and we'll provide the drinks.
Cover is $16 as usual, pay at the door.
Hope to see you there!
week's Lindy Workshop:
"Just Keep Spinning" with Katie and Paolo
Turns and spins appear in many of our Lindy Hop patterns
and styling. Free spins, outside turns, pop turns, lock
turns - you name it! While many dancers get through
them, turns can feel even better (and be more fun!)
when executed with good rhythm, control, and musicality.
This workshop we will help you feel more comfortable
turning and spinning in your solo jazz and partnered
Lindy Hop. We will go over the elements of good spinning
technique as well as the lead/follow for turning moves.
What: "Just Keep Spinning"
When: Saturday, December 13th from
Where: West Cambridge Youth Center
Price: $20 per person at the door

Katie and Paolo's workshops are held at Huron Ave on
most Swing City Saturdays this Fall and hopefully continue
from there. They are from 6-8pm and cost $20, and be
sure to stick around for the music and dancing at Swing
City with Paolo and Katie in the house from 9pm on.
Workshop attendees receive a discounted cover charge
for Swing City: $10 regular, $8 for students.
