"BU West" on the Green Line is closest, about 8-9 minute walk. Go across the BU Bridge (Green, semi-rusty arch bridge). Turn right on Memorial Drive. The Hyatt is on the left a few hundred yards down.

From Central Square on the Red Line, it's about 1.2 miles, though a short cab ride. Or bus 47 gets you close, to Memorial Drive and then walk a few hundred yards toward Boston.

Parking Notes:

  • We have $8 validated parking in the hotel garage. I believe this is good overnight as well. Pick up a new parking garage ticket at registration when you come in.
  • The MIT police station offers free parking in the lot TO THE RIGHT OF THE STATION if the gate is open. (This from the chief's own mouth. Don't park in the lot to the left though--you'll get an MIT ticket.) Vassar St. runs behind the hotel. Make a right onto Vassar, and the lot is a block down on the left. Enter through the gate and disregard the signs about MIT permit parking.
  • There is limited street parking directly on Vassar St. immediately behind the hotel. Be sure to observe signs.
  • You can also park in Cambridgeport, on the other side of the RR tracks that run parallel to Vassar St, and walk across the tracks somewhere. I believe there is a path. To get there you have to go back to the BU bridge and up Brookline St. There is a path across the railroad tracks, behind Ft. Washington Park and comes out by the police station lot.
